[FILTERED FROM: Alice & other children]

Not that I object to staying in bed for two weeks, but some company might have improved the experience.

[End Filter]

Did anything exciting happen while I was asleep?

It is a smart man who knows not to argue with a clever girl.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not arguing. I'm politely disagreeing.

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the same thing... or... well nearly the same thing.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Nearly isn't quite the same thing, however. By definition.

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
It's certainly close enough though.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
Are we going to make a habit of this, or is it a one-time thing?

[He might be caving. He certainly can't tell her 'no.' ♥]

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Well it depends on how many times it takes you to believe in 6 in the morning.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
Now we're back to this.

[He's smiling at you, Alice. You are very cute.]

I already told you I'd believe anything you say.

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... well you should wake up at least once at 6 AM. To say you did it.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
But who would I want to say that to? It sounds like a dull conversation starter.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Well, we'll try an experiment, then. Let's see if we can have an interesting conversation that starts that way.

[Knowing Alice--they can. ♥]

Why, good morning, Alice. I woke up at six today.

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh that's lovely Yo-gee! Did you get to see the sunrise!

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
I'm afraid not. I must have been turned westward the entire time!

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh how gloomifying! Sunrises can be lovely you know. And I know they're constantly painted! Oh but... in a painting how do you know if the it's the sun rising or the sun setting without the artist telling you?

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
If I were the one doing the painting? I would paint a sunrise in brighter colors, since the light is gaining. A sunset would be darker reds and yellows, since the sun is waning.

But that's only me.

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well I think it would be lovely to find out you see. I quite enjoy watching the sunrise in the morning. And it's simply lovely you see because then I can get all sorts of things done before the rest of the day begins and then I can enjoy a pleasant afternoon with you are anyone!

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
I can see the sense in that, but nighttime is nice, too. I've always been something of a night owl.

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not very good at staying up too late. The latest I've ever stayed up was 10 PM!

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it's not good while you're young. I happen to be very old and well-practiced at it.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Naturally. You have to practice getting up early, too, don't you?

[identity profile] madcuriosity.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure! I usually just wake up without anything.

[identity profile] slantedcross.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Without even an alarm clock?
